The signs are made with a corrugated plastic signboard, with two different thicknesses to choose from. The 10 mm signboard is approximately ½” thick and will last a minimum of two years outside in normal weather conditions. This rigid material is an excellent replacement for plywood signs and is available with a decorative PVC frame. The 4 mm signboard is approximately ¼” thick and is designed for a more temporary use with about a year outdoor life. The 4 mm signboard is ideal for campaign signs or until a more permanent sign can be installed.
The commercial signs for sale are 4 ft x 4 ft and 4 ft x 8 ft, these sign are available with three styles of optional PVC post kits. All post kits include horizontal tracks that the signs slide into and hardware or supports where needed. The PVC Standard post kit included two vertical 8 ft. posts; the Arrow includes three vertical 8 foot posts and holds two single sided signs in a V shape, at a 90 degree angle. The Self Standing post kit includes two 6 ft. vertical posts but also has two base feet so it can be installed on any level surface, no digging required. The Self-standing post kit can also be converted to an in-ground installation by combining the vertical posts with the base feet. This method will also give you the option to adjust the overall vertical post height from 7 ft. to 9 ft. making it a very versatile set. With 1-800-The-Sign you are not limited to the standard sized signs for sale, these commercial signs can also be made at custom sizes. The signs themselves can be custom cut to fit any need* or multiple 4 ft. x 8 ft. boards can even be combined to make a larger sign such as 8 ft. x 8 ft. or 8 ft. sign x 24 ft. sign. The post kits can be custom to fit a 3 ft. or 4 ft. high sign by 8 ft. wide or less. We do not have a post kit for signs larger then 4 ft. x 8 ft., however we have instruction available on how to construct your own wood frame, if needed.
We have several size auction signs for sale; most commonly the 32 in. x 48 in. sign with the optional three rod skirt stand. This sign is priced right and designed to bring in bidders! With almost the same surface area as the commercial signs we offer, the signs are designed to really draw in potential bidders. The advantage of the three rod skirt stand over the PVC post kit for these signs is that it installs as easily as a residential sign. The approximately 3 ft x 4 ft sign can easily be installed in about a minute and will even go into frozen ground. For smaller directional type signs we offer 2 ft x 2 ft signs. These sign are available with a two rod skirt stand or a heavy duty H stand.
