Sign Design
At 1-800-The-Sign, we make designing your 2’x2’ sign simple and quick. You can choose from 3 easy methods:
1. Upload Your Artwork:
Just hit the “Upload Artwork” button on our order form to upload your logos and any artwork you have. Simply select the files from your computer or mobile device. We accept PDF, EPS, AI, and TIF formats, as well as lower-resolution JPEG or PNG files. If our design team finds the resolution is too low for a clear print, they'll contact you to help get it sorted. You can also pick your colors and add any additional text in the “Sign Message” box on the same page.
2. EZ Design Tool:
If you prefer designing the sign yourself, use our EZ Design Tool! You can start from scratch, add your logos, and customize your colors, or choose from our templates and tailor them to your brand.

Sign Care
Our signs are made to last and handle the elements, but if they get dirty, here’s how to clean them and keep them looking fresh:
• Cleaning: Use warm, soapy water and a soft sponge (nothing too rough) to wash your sign. This will keep it clean without causing scratches.
• Spot Cleaning: You can use Windex for spot cleaning without worrying about damaging the print.
• Hose It Off: Rinse your sign with a hose if needed—our corrugated plastic won’t rust!
• Drying: You can either let it air dry in the sun or wipe it off with a soft towel or paper towel.
• What to Avoid: Mild soap and Windex are safe for cleaning your sign, but stay away from harsh chemicals like alcohol or bleach-based products. These can fade the print, damage the vinyl backing, and break down the sign material over time. Avoid cleaners like Clorox, Scrubbing Bubbles, mildew removers, Comet, Soft Scrub, and Lysol. If it’s too harsh for your car, it’s too harsh for your sign!
How to Install
1. Yard Arm Post
Also known as a colonial post or swing post, our Yard Arm Post is perfect for residential realtors looking to advertise their home for sale or rent! The post stands 5 feet (60 inches) tall and there are no tools necessary for installation! Installs in minutes. (compatible with 10mm or 4mm signs)
2. Skirt Stand
Three 5/16"x 48" steel rods with decorative "skirt" cover 16"x12". Bottom of sign stands 16" above ground. Easy installation in hard or frozen ground. The strongest stands available in the industry! (compatible with 10mm signs only)
3. HD H Stand
Stands for "Heavy Duty H" Stands. 35” tall, bottom of sign is 20”x24” above the ground when installed. Stand is comprised of heavy duty 5/16” thick rods, and powder coated white for an elegant finish. (compatible with 10mm signs only)
4. Galvanized Stand
This durable metal stand features a ¼” steel base and elevates your sign 16” off the ground. (compatible with 4mm signs only)
5. Wire H Stand
A lightweight alternative to our Heavy Duty H Stand, this temporary wire stand also supports your sign at a 16” height once installed—perfect for short-term use. (compatible with 4mm signs only)
Keep in mind, you can always request holes (on 10mm signs) or brass-plated grommets (on 4mm signs) if you would like to hang your sign or use zipties to put it up! You can always simply drill screws through our corrugated plastic substrate to install it on a wall as well!
