Q: "What are the dimensions of a 2'x4' sign?"
A: Our 2'x4' sign measures 2 feet high by 4 feet wide, or 24 inches high by 48 inches wide.
Q: "What material is your 2'x4' sign made out of?"
A: It’s made from 10mm corrugated plastic (also known as Correx). This material is about ½ inch thick, lightweight, durable, and weather-resistant — perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. It’s also easy to install or hang.
Q: "How long does the sign last?"
A: The print is guaranteed to last at least 2 years outdoors, even in direct sunlight. The corrugated plastic itself is designed to last even longer.

Sign Design
At 1-800-The-Sign, designing your 4x8 sign is quick and easy. You have 3 convenient options to create your sign:
1. Upload Your Artwork
Use the “Upload Artwork” button on our order form to upload your logos or any other artwork. Simply click the button, browse your device, and select the file you want to upload. We accept PDF, EPS, AI, and TIF files. You can also upload lower-resolution JPEG or PNG files. If our design team notices the resolution is too low for a clear print, they'll reach out to help you improve it. You can also choose your colors and add any additional text in the “Sign Message” box.
2. EZ Design Tool
If you’d prefer to design the sign yourself, try our EZ Design Tool! You can start from scratch, upload logos, and choose colors, or select from a variety of templates and customize it to fit your style.

Sign Care
Our signs are built to withstand the elements, but if they get dirty, don’t worry! Here are a few easy steps to clean your sign and keep it looking great for years:
• Washing Your Sign: Simply wash with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge (avoid harsh scrubbing pads). This will clean your sign without damaging it.
• Spot Cleaning: For spot cleaning, Windex works well and won’t harm the print.
• Rinsing Off: You can hose your sign down with water — our corrugated plastic material won’t rust.
• Drying: You can either let your sign air dry in the sun or gently wipe it with a soft towel or paper towel.
What Not to Use:
While mild soap and Windex are great for cleaning, avoid using harsh chemicals like alcohol or bleach-based cleaners. These can fade the print, break down the vinyl backing, and damage the sign’s material. Steer clear of products like Clorox, Scrubbing Bubbles, mildew removers, Comet, Soft Scrub, and Lysol. If you wouldn’t use it on your car, don’t use it on your sign!
How to Install
• We have 3 different ground installation options available for our 2’x4’ signs in 10mm corrugated plastic thickness:
1. Skirt Stand:
Three 5/16"x 48" steel rods with decorative corrugated plastic "skirt" cover 16"x12". Bottom of sign 16" above ground. Easy installation in hard or frozen ground. The strongest stands available in the industry!
2. Metal Post Kit:
Our Metal Post Kit can be installed without any tools at all! This Post Kit comes with a set of four metal poles, two of which are installed into the ground using our installation tool (included), and two of which are installed between the sign faces through the use of our patented Post Pocket technology. You can easily install the whole thing in 5 minutes. (Please note that for this option to work, you must select the Post Pocket option directly below the “Installation Option” portion of the page.)
3. HD H Stand:
Stands for Heavy Duty H Stands. 35” tall, bottom of sign is 20”x24” above the ground when installed. Stand is comprised of heavy duty 5/16” thick rods, and powder coated white for an elegant finish.
• If you’d prefer your 2’x4’ sign in 4mm corrugated plastic thickness instead of 10mm, you can:
1. Use our Galvanized Stand:
A metal stand with a ¼” steel base that holds the bottom of your sign 16” off the ground. (Please note that two stands are recommended for sign stability)
2. Use our Wire H Stand:
A thinner version of our Heavy Duty H Stand – functions as a temporary stand that also holds your sign at a 16” height after it’s installed.
Looking for more ways to install your sign? Choose holes (available for 10mm signs) or brass-plated grommets (available for 4mm signs) if you plan to hang it or fasten it with zip ties. For a more secure, long-term option, you can also drill directly through the corrugated plastic to mount it to a wall using screws.
